Okay so basically I've been searching all over the internet for some thread or a forum to teach me how to change the package names of any apk but nothing useful yet please if anyone have an idea on how to do it tell me please. p.s I'm looking it up for educational proposes appreciate your help:)

this is my friend's tablet s. Whenever i turn it on, the tablet will be stuck at the boot loop and nothing will happen. I tried to go into recovery and factory reset the whole tablet but it is still not working. Appalling device topic

I've had my note 4 for around 48 hours now and I'm shocked and appalled with the performance. It lags so much in almost anything you do from Web browsing to scrolling feeds in apps. I've never been this dissatisfied with the performance of an android device since the HTC Hero.

Why are more people not complaining about this? Are any of the custom roms out there fixing this? My device is N901F.

And I know that if I type in the search form, I'll get many results but my question is: why the Samsung S2 GT-I9100 isn't listed?

CAT B15Q firmware update bricked device topic

Hello all,

yesterday's OTA firmware update to my CAT B15Q (CPU MediaTek MT6582M) showed an error similar to "failed to update metadata symlink" and offered me to reboot... since then the device is stuck in a bootloop and only boots recovery and fastboot.

The recovery console doesn't offer any USB devices, except when choosing "apply update from ADB", upon which adb devices lists it as "0123456789ABCDEF sideload". adb shell however does not work, it gives an "error: closed" message.

Resetting to factory did not help either, current Android version of the device was 4.4.2.

By the looks, the failed update bricked the /system somehow; can I sideload a version of adb onto the recovery to gain shell access?

[Q] Unknown Device Driver topic

Dear XDA,

First of all, a merry xmas!:good:

For me, not so ;). Yesterday i got my phone back from the repairshop. At that moment i had a custom rom (viperrom) downloaded. When i got it back i found out i had the bug where you have no audio when calling, so i downloaded and installed a tweak that would solve it. It did not work. So my next step was to reinstall my rom. I fully wiped my data, cache, OS etc... MISTAKE. I deleted my romfile from the phone aswell. So now, i am stuck in the TWRP/recovery mode.

Now i want to just put another romfile on the phone, but my computer doenst reconigze my phone anymore. It says unknown device. I already downloaded the right driver on htc.com but still no connection. A friend of mine says it has to do something with my computer isnt seeing that my phone is still a mass storage device because i deleted those files that makes it a mass storage device..

Do you guys have another way to add a new rom file to my phone?

[Q] Computer won't recognize device after flash topic

I am a beginner at this, so bear with me. I had an old HTC One lying around that was somewhat in a non-working state. Not as a phone anyway as it constantly lost service. Someone told me that it might perhaps be a software issue and if I rooted it and used a different ROM, it could fix my problem. So, for the first time, I gave it a shot. I tried a bunch of things, followed many tutorials, but I couldn't gain s-off on the device. Finally, someone said since my hboot was version 1.57, I would need to use sunshine to accomplish my goal. I did so and it worked. So now I followed another tutorial which showed how to make it a google play edition device. So I flashed the RUU and it failed the first time around. I tried again as the tutorial said I would have to only to get another error. My computer said it was waiting for a device. Basically my problem is that now when I'm in fastboot mode, my computer won't recognize it. When I boot it normally however, it acts like usual. I've visited other suggested threads on these forums, but to no avail. I've tried other chords, I've updated drivers, I've gone into the device manager and did just about everything suggested. So I've come here for one last try. If anyone could help that would be greatly appreciated.

All I see is a google logo, not rebooting just staying on the screen. I am pretty sure I deleted the operating system, but I can't seem to get in recovery. What lead up to this was me not being able to connect the device to windows over usb, nothing in device manager, I couldn't even get adb to connect even through twrp sideload. But now I think I caused a whole new issue. I'm just trying to get back to stock rooted lol. Advise?

[Q] My device isn't recognized by my laptop anymore topic

Hey guys!
Well, I was trying to reflash Vanir+DirtyV (I was with CM11+Fancy but I like to make some changes from time to time) and I also decided to flash the most recent TWRP in the process because I had the 2.7.0.0 one and I thought the newer one would be better optimized.
After flashing the new recovery I tried to use adb commands to push the flashable zips but it came without success so I tried to reflash the old TWRP from fastboot (I had done a complete wipe of all the partitions excluding USB OTG before rebooting into the fastboot)

I don't think it is a driver problem because some hours ago everything was fine with adb and fastboot but what could it be? I am without any OS in the system but I rooted the device before rebooting into fastboot and I can go into recovery nicely I just can't connect anything with the laptop

USB Device not Recognized topic

Hi guys,

I flashed the cm12 beta 2 recently and afterwords mobile was not recognized by pc. I tried reinstalling the drivers and changing rom, reverting back to kitkat.. but it was of no use. Now i have upgraded from windows 7 ultimate to windows 8 64 bit. I installed the drivers, Im getting "Unable to start the device(code 10)" . Even now im unable to connect to pc via usb and everytime i connect it says "Usb not recognized" . Please help me fix this :confused:

Let us suppose we have a two devices with Android:

Custom android device with microphone, speaker, bluetooth and without GSM part.

Android smartphone (like a Nexus 5 or SGS4).

We need to make calls programmatically from first device through second via Bluetooth. What we are need to do to implementing it? Setup first device as headset? Or something else?
