[Q] Android Studio - Action Bar Error topic

Hello,

I'm very new to Android development and to this site, so I'm sorry if I'm posting a common issue or in the wrong place.
I am using a tutorial to just develop a simple app to get my feet wet.
I'm at the point where I create an Action Bar, and this is what I have in MainActivity.java :

For the bold and highlighted part of the code, Android Studio is saying that cannot be applied. This is not allowing me to run the app.

[Q] android.systemui has stopped - Same error, 2 different ROMs topic

Hi,

I flashed liquid smoth ROM and when it booted it started getting an error every few seconds: the process.com.android.systemui has stopped.

I powered off the phone and attempted to boot into recovery but I couldn't. The phone seemed to be bricked. I had to press the two volume keys and the power button to unlock it.

It booted into recovery, I wiped everythig even internal storage and flashed CyanHacker Rom and gapps after. It booted and surprisely I got the same error: the process.com.android.systemui has stopped.
Now I am trying to boot into recovery again but the only thing I get is the capacitive buttons flashing for a few seconds.

Any idea?

Hi,
I just bought my new lg optimus f160l and messed it up on the very first day...... i uninstalled some system apps and it was working all fine..........then i rebooted it and it got stuck on security error logo....
whenever i try to open it.....i see the lg logo for a sec......the shiny lg logo then.......and then the lg logo with security error written beneath it......then a total black out.

I seriously need help with my mobile. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! ANYONE HELP ME!

Hello everyone,

I have a TF201 whose characteristics are:

- Android cardhu-user bootloader <1.00 e> released by "US_epad-10.4.2.15-20120917" A03

- CyanogenMod Android 4.2.2

- cyanogenmod version 10.1-20140217 - NIGHTLY - tf201


1 - But when I want to reset the tablet by restoring to factory settings , it restarts but nothing happens and after starting it in the same condition as before.

2 - When I want to go into recovery to install another rom, I have :

"Unrecoverable bootloader error (0x00000000)."

so I can not access the recovery or to wipe data


so I can not restore my tablet to factory settings or install a new rom as kitkat .

However, I have access to fastboot but I tried things and I have :"failed invalid argument"



- I kept the files that I made at the time of root :

blob.bin
blob.log
bootloader.ebt
create.bct
pt_patch.log
pt_restore.log
recovery.bct


is it that I can do something with fastboot or a version nvflash or other software ?

Is it possible to install a rom android directly without going through the recovery ?

I have been trying to find a fix for the FM radio in CM10 for Nokia X for some time. I came upon suggestions to install alsamixer and redirect sound. I installed alsamixer but I get the following error when starting the app:

[Q] Cannot install Safestrap on Kindle Fire HDX 2013 (Thor), parse error topic

I have a Fire HDX Thor 7" tablet from 2013, which has just updated to FireOS 4.5.2. However, I still had the same error on the original version of the OS.
When I try to install Safestrap, downloaded from the links provided in this thread from ES file explorer, I get a "Parse error". I have tried all 5 apks.
This is the error I get when tapping install: "There was a problem parsing the package.", preventing me from installing the app.
I have all the requirements, root access and SuperSU successfully installed. All other apks install fine.
Any ideas/alternate apps that will allow me to boot into a custom ROM? I would like to install CM or stock KitKat if possible.

i just started with the KDZ update to recover my bricked phone (i rooted it before begin bricked) so i cant get a normal fix. When it goes for 5% it shows me this error:

- drivers/mstrgen.sys file search fail

I just wanna know if i have to get another program to install the missing file... i'm using windows 8.1

Secure Booting Unsuccessful error topic

Folks, I have seen some threads on here so I will understand that you will probably hate me but seriously none of those did well for me. So that's why I am creating mine. As an owner of LG G2 mini I had been closely focusing on CM12 progress re lollipop that InvaderJohn was working on. There was a camera overexposure issue so I tried to use some working lib files and vendor/lib files and created a flashable file for TWRP recovery. I screwed it up as upong the flash my phone with CM12 didn't boot up. I wasn't able to get into recover thru adb so I pressed volume down and middle button and got myself into factory mode. I did factory reset and was in TWRP recovery again. Good. Then I reflashed the phone and there was an error saying that secure booting unsuccessful. I have LG Flashtools and tot file with dll for my LG D620fr on my laptop. This method I used once when getting the phone bricked and it worked and I was able to install stock 4.4.2 ROM. But this time... not sure why but the tot flash got stuck with 94% and while the phone was supposed to get restarted it didn't and the message above of the secure etc. popped up. I am able to get into my TWRP recovery (weird) but nothing else. I suspect I got my bootloader locked. Is there any way how to figure this out, please? I was trying the fastboot method but my phone is unrecognizeable. Any help is much appreciated.

[Q] LG G2 stuck in security error bootloop topic

It started out where i could only boot into fast boot and NOTHING else, but I found this tutorial where i would erase and replace all the image files and put the g2 in a sort of testing mode. So i did it and when i booted it up....it had the LG logo and the lg logo with a security error....This kept on going for a while until i did a factory hard reset and now it just does it once and then turns off. The only other thing i can seem to boot into is download mode because when i try the tot method it has this error saying CrossDL [D802] to [D800]. And so i try another method which required a kzd file, there are kzd files for everything but the d800, which is what i happened to have. I try for an hour looking for one with no luck. I try the LG mobile support tool but it goes through the first part and just gets stuck on the second part and doesn't even have a loading bar, it just says so not unplug USB. Im really getting frustrated and can find any way to make it work. PLEASE HELP!

Hello everyone,

This is my very first time rooting my LG Optimus F6 phone by following GameTheory's tutorials, and unfortunately for me I ran into a problem when moving apps to my SD ext4 partition using Link2SD. Let me be more detailed as to what I did that got me into this mess... Once rooted and with Link2SD installed, I proceeded to creating the 2 usual partitions, FAT32 and ext4. My first mistake was that I created the partitions backwards (without realizing it), the one I wanted the biggest ended up being the smallest. After moving some apps to the SD I figured it would be a good idea to update them, so I did. After updating all the apps, I realized the partition sizes were wrong. Here's where I messed everything up... I decided to unlink all apps I linked (moved) to the SD so that I could reformat the SD to the proper partition sizes, but problem was that after the update it wouldn't let me break the link for some. Knowing this, I still went ahead and reformatted the SD card. This is when I realized some of those apps where part of the system and I needed to re-install them since I kept getting errors from various apps, mainly Google apps. My problem from that point on has been that Google Play Services got deleted from the system and I can't seem to get it to install, I keep getting an "insufficient storage available" error message when I try to download it. There's still 770MB of internal memory available (not SD partition). Can anyone help me get this resolved, please?

How to fix this? I have not tried to root only unlock the bootloader.

Moto GPE Status 7 Error topic

I have an Irish XT1032 converted to GPE and am running 4.4.4.

It's unrooted, but the bootloader is unlocked.

I have the OTA update downloaded from system update but each time I go to install it, I end up with a status 7 error. Why is this?

Running stock recovery too btw.

What can I do to install 5.0.1?

BeyondStock rom bootsplash error? topic

I have the HK edition and I flashed BeyondStock and the I get this weird htc thing at splash screen Htc note with red letters. How can I get rid of it? By the way I just unlocked bootloader and S-On. Another thing is that I thought it was based on the HK rom but I get Boomsound setting and not HK.

[Q] tasker utter conflict on adroid 5.0 Playstore 505 error topic

Has anyone that has upgraded to any rom with Android 5.0 or higher successfully installed both the Tasker app and the Utter app? I have been searching and see starting back in November a few posts about this but none have resloved it. I can install either without difficulty from both the google playstore and titanium backup. I can not however install both. Some have suggested doing a fresh install of the 5.0 rom then immediately doing a factory data reset. This didn't work. I have an LG G2 on Sprint and am running lollipop. The rom is great. Having to choose between Tasker and Utter isn't so great.
