[Q] How to root Spring HTC One M8 without PC topic

I recently purchased a Sprint vesion o he HTC One M8 and have tried apps such as towelroot and they haven't worked so far. I previously had a galaxy s4 and loved the root apps and want to get it back. Does anyone know a way to gain root access by way of an app or without a PC? I haven't used a PC for rooting yet and only will use it ass a last resort. Thanks guys!
